What benji is, and isn't
benji is an educational tool. It helps you understand your own numbers and learn how personal finance works. benji is not a financial adviser, broker, bank, or fiduciary. Nothing in benji is financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. benji never recommends specific financial products, never holds your money, and never moves it. Every decision and every transfer is yours. For advice on your specific situation, talk to a licensed professional.
Your account
- You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live.
- You're responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity under your account.
- Enter your own information. benji's output is only as good as what you put in.
Pricing & subscriptions
benji has a free tier and an optional paid subscription, benji Premium, which unlocks the full written plan, unlimited what-ifs, unlimited questions to benji, the complete Score breakdown, unlimited goals, and unlimited affordability checks.
Premium is a monthly or annual auto-renewing subscription and may begin with a free trial. The current price and any trial length are always shown in the app before you confirm. On iOS, payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase. It renews automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends, and a free trial converts to a paid subscription on the same basis. Manage or cancel anytime in your device's subscription settings; any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you buy. Refunds are handled by Apple under their terms.
Acceptable use
Don't misuse benji: no breaking the law with it, no trying to break into it, no scraping other people's data, no reselling access, no building a competing dataset from it.
Your content
The data you enter stays yours. You grant us the limited licence needed to store and process it to run the service for you, as described in the privacy policy. Delete your account and that licence ends.
Disclaimers
benji is provided "as is". We work hard on accuracy, but projections are estimates built on assumptions and your inputs. They are a direction, not a promise, and real outcomes will differ. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and we are not liable for financial decisions you make.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Ending things
You can stop using benji and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Governing law & contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States of America, unless the law where you live grants you rights that can't be waived.
